Adult education program opportunities are more widespread now than they have ever been before, although the availability of funding in a depressed economy is preventing the opportunities from reaching as many people as the authorities would like. The availability of courses has been aided greatly by the development of modern technology and the Internet, as it is now far easier to share information. Only funding issues prevent education from being universally available.

Although full use is made of video and streaming media content, there are usually alternative options offered for those who have to manage on slow connections.
